Happy First Birthday and Fam Updates

It's been SO long since I've posted on the blog I've forgotten how...lol
SO much has happened in the last 3 months, so I'll try and sum it up in a few words on our blog...lol

In February we celebrated my parents 30th wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner for them. We are SO very lucky to still have mom with us, and cherish everyday we still get to spend with her.

In March we celebrated Nick's birthday.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOOO YOU!!!!!!!!

We we're pretty stressed out worrying about Nick's job. ATK did a BIG layoff, luckily he made it through....YAY As did his Dad and Uncle. They did however transfer him to the Clearfield plant. His driving time is cut in half, and he's closer to home. He is a little stressed because it's all new people, different work. But at least he has a job and he'll do GREAT!

April 3 was my little Princess's birthday :( Yes, I cried! I know it's my last baby and she's growing up faster than I want her too. She thinks she's such a BIG girl now...lol She woke up yesterday with a double ear infection and it was her party too. But with a good long nap and some help with her antibiotic and Ibuprofen she was happy and had a GREAT time at her party!!!!
I will post pictures later of her party. :)

"The Fat Farm progress"

My neighbor just cracks me up, she is so awesome! She posted this pic on her blog and Nick and I have laughed, thanks Kristina I borrowed it!!!! ;)

The reason I posted it is cause I went to

(aka "The Fat Farm")
last night and was pretty happy with my little self. I gained 2.2 pounds over the 2 week holidays when I did my weigh in last thurs and last night had lost 2.8....WAHOOOOOO....WOOT WOOT....WOO-HOO!!!!

"BEST BUDDIES"

Cado and Miyah are fast becoming the best of buddies, I hope their friendship stays for a long time!!!!

Where did my baby go???? :(

It just seems like yesterday I was holding my baby girl in my arms and she depended on my for most everything. Well, these days she's Miss Independent....holding her own bottle....moving around on her own....pulling herself up onto things....crawling into her infant carrier and doing whatever she feels like. The other night I went upstairs with Cado and I could hear Miyah crying. Nick hollered to me and I came to the top of the stairs and this is what I found

Miyah was able to pull herself onto the landing and was ready to take on the stairs. I'm sure one day I'll find herself at the top....lol

Love this movie!!!!

Mariyah and I have watched this movie so much that we are starting to memorize the lines....well maybe I'm the only one memorizing the lines...lol Both kids were born by c-section and Dr Lister was listening to ABBA when Mariyah was born and that just happened to be the song she was born to. Cool huh!?

update to catch you all up...lol

I know I have to be the world's biggest slacker on blogging...lol But with everything going on lately I just don't have time. We had a better christmas than we all planned for. The best Christmas present was being able to spend 1 more with our wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend!!!! After being told the monday before christmas she was dying having her with us this long is such a blessing. She has 5 blockages in the back of her neck and one is the main artery for you body. Sad thing is the one thing that's keeping her alive (dialysis) is slowing killing her. Her strokes have caused alot of damage. She remembers names, can talk single words but to make a full sentence or carry on a full on conversation is difficult. Her right side (arm and leg) she has very little control over, so walking is pretty much out of the question. We watched home movies with her and she just stared at the TV. We often wonder how much she understands!? It's sad to see a woman that was once so full of life and couldn't wait to have grandkids be so idle now. She loves all her grandkids deeply but after 3 boys was longing to have a little girl and now she's too sick to enjoy her. Dad is planning on bringing mom home within the next few weeks. He wants her last days spent at home. Not some care facility (where she's currently at) or a hospital. He realizes the burden that he's taking on but we can't tell him otherwise. We just have to support his decision and help where we can. He is in the process of getting her a hospital bed, motorized wheelchair and a brace for her right leg.
Christmas came and went too fast. The kids had a blast and we now have a new friend that came to live with us. A 5 foot giraffe named big big faffie. Anyone that know's Caden know's his love for girraffes and that love has rubbed off onto little sister. She also got her own baby faffie...lol
We survived a quiet new years at home relaxing and the boys playing wii until after midnight. Us girls were in bed by 10:30 lol
Hope you all had a great christmas and happy new year, and are keeping warm it's 1:oo pm here right now and a warm 17 degrees outside. They say tonight we'll be in the single digits...woo-hoo...we're having a tropical heat wave...lol

Secret Santa or Body????

Yesterday I was checking KSL.com not looking for anything in particular and spotted something the kids (especially Caden) would absolutely LOVE!!!!
Now if you were to look inside Nick's truck one would think he had a dead body, but in fact it's a 5 foot tall Giraffe that is in excellent condition. Anyone that knows Cado would know that he has a fetish with Giraffes and it's starting to rub off on Mariyah. She is getting her own little baby giraffe for Christmas so we can hopefully stop the "MOM, baby sister has my giraffe again"...lol
