I know I have to be the world's biggest slacker on blogging...lol But with everything going on lately I just don't have time. We had a better christmas than we all planned for. The best Christmas present was being able to spend 1 more with our wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend!!!! After being told the monday before christmas she was dying having her with us this long is such a blessing. She has 5 blockages in the back of her neck and one is the main artery for you body. Sad thing is the one thing that's keeping her alive (dialysis) is slowing killing her. Her strokes have caused alot of damage. She remembers names, can talk single words but to make a full sentence or carry on a full on conversation is difficult. Her right side (arm and leg) she has very little control over, so walking is pretty much out of the question. We watched home movies with her and she just stared at the TV. We often wonder how much she understands!? It's sad to see a woman that was once so full of life and couldn't wait to have grandkids be so idle now. She loves all her grandkids deeply but after 3 boys was longing to have a little girl and now she's too sick to enjoy her. Dad is planning on bringing mom home within the next few weeks. He wants her last days spent at home. Not some care facility (where she's currently at) or a hospital. He realizes the burden that he's taking on but we can't tell him otherwise. We just have to support his decision and help where we can. He is in the process of getting her a hospital bed, motorized wheelchair and a brace for her right leg.Christmas came and went too fast. The kids had a blast and we now have a new friend that came to live with us. A 5 foot giraffe named big big faffie. Anyone that know's Caden know's his love for girraffes and that love has rubbed off onto little sister. She also got her own baby faffie...lol
We survived a quiet new years at home relaxing and the boys playing wii until after midnight. Us girls were in bed by 10:30 lol
Hope you all had a great christmas and happy new year, and are keeping warm it's 1:oo pm here right now and a warm 17 degrees outside. They say tonight we'll be in the single digits...woo-hoo...we're having a tropical heat wave...lol
